President's Message
Welcome message from the President of the 34th World Buiatrics Congress.
Dear Colleagues and Friends,
It is my great honor and pleasure to invite you to the 34th World Buiatrics Congress (WBC 2028), which will be held in the beautiful island of Jeju, Republic of Korea, from October 15-19, 2028.
On behalf of the Organizing Committee and the Korean Association for Buiatrics, I extend my warmest welcome to veterinarians, researchers, educators, students, industry leaders, and all professionals dedicated to the advancement of cattle health and production.
For more than six decades, the World Buiatrics Congress has served as the premier global forum for exchanging scientific knowledge, clinical experience, and innovative technologies in bovine medicine. As our profession continues to face new challenges—including emerging infectious diseases, antimicrobial stewardship, animal welfare, sustainable livestock production, food security, digital transformation, and the One Health approach—international collaboration has never been more important. WBC 2028 will provide an exceptional platform for meaningful dialogue, interdisciplinary exchange, and the development of practical solutions that will shape the future of cattle health worldwide.
It is especially honored that Korea has been selected to host this prestigious congress for the first time. This achievement reflects the collective efforts and strong support of colleagues from around the world, and we are committed to delivering an outstanding scientific program together with memorable networking opportunities and warm Korean hospitality. WBC 2028 is expected to welcome thousands of delegates from more than 70 countries, continuing the congress's tradition as the leading international gathering in buiatrics.
Jeju Island, a UNESCO-recognized destination renowned for its spectacular volcanic landscapes, pristine coastline, and unique cultural heritage, offers an inspiring setting for scientific exchange and international friendship. I hope that your visit will provide not only valuable professional experiences but also unforgettable memories of Korea's natural beauty, rich traditions, and welcoming culture.
Together, let us strengthen our global partnerships, share our knowledge, inspire future generations of veterinary professionals, and contribute to healthier animals, more sustainable livestock production, and a better future for society.
I sincerely look forward to welcoming you to Jeju in October 2028.
Warm regards,
President
